Conductor 유병윤 (Byung– Yun Yu) 현지 코디네이션

Born in South Korea, I studied the piano, violin, composition and conducting with Du-Wyan Kim and Han-Jun Kim. After graduating in music, I began conducting at least a dozen concerts annually all over Korea. In 1985, I won a gold medal in the Korean National Choral Conducting competition. I arrived in England in 1992 to further my studies in violin and conducting, graduating from the London College of Music and Kingston University. I studied under Gerhard Schmidt, Lawrence Leonard, William Webb, Peter Stark, Edward Ho and recently with Sir Colin Davis. Conducting engagements have included Kingston Philharmonia, the London Korean Symphony Orchestra, the London College of Music Chamber Orchestra, the Rehearsal Orchestra, and both the Kingston University Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. I have been a guest conductor with the Abbeye Ensemble and have an engagement with the Karnata Symphony Orchestra in India. Currently, I am the resident conductor of Thames Philharmonia.
